Le Pays lointain (repérages)
Louis returns "home" to the place he left behind long ago. Louis recalls that day back home, those he passed, a sister, a brother and his family... On that day, Louis knew he was already caught up in a coming death, and they knew nothing of it. For us, who see through his eyes, the people they meet, with their awkward smiles, their obsessions, their ways of speaking or remaining silent, are nothing more than the still living. This is a dead man speaking to us from beyond the grave, telling us in simple words the inaudible, the unavowable of this family he didn't feel loved the way he wanted.
