Kermesse

Add to my favorites

Make a caterpillar all together on a performance night. The project is simple, yet this seemingly innocuous festive ritual is a source of powerful reactions: rejection, pleasure, euphoria. For some, it even touches on tradition.

With the caterpillar as a starting point, Collectif La Cabale questions our relationship to ridicule and shame, and turns this dance into a political, sociological and ecological subject. KERMESSE could be a social experiment. Would we be capable of initiating a national reconciliation around a dance? What if, to save the world, we had to start by saving ourselves?
