Reuse of information under this licence

The ‘Licensor’ grants the ‘Re-user’ a non-exclusive and royalty-free right to freely ‘Re-use’ the ‘Information’ that is the subject of this licence, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, throughout the world and for an unlimited period of time, under the conditions expressed below.


The ‘Re-user’ is free to re-use the ‘Information’ :

- reproduce and copy it

- adapt, modify, extract and transform it to create ‘Derived Information’, products or services,

- to communicate, broadcast, redistribute, publish and transmit it,

- to exploit it commercially, for example by combining it with other information, or by including it in its own product or application.
 

Subject to :

- mention the authorship of the ‘Information’: its source (at least the name of the ‘Licensor’) and the date on which the re-used ‘Information’ was last updated.

The ‘Re-user’ may fulfil this condition in particular by referring, via a hypertext link, to the source of the ‘Information’ and ensuring that its authorship is effectively acknowledged.
For example: ‘lecorvin.net - Name of the article - Original data downloaded from http://www.lecorvin.net/xxx/, updated on day_month_year’.

This authorship statement does not confer any official character on the ‘Re-use’ of the ‘Information’, and shall not suggest any recognition or endorsement by the ‘Licensor’, or any other public entity, of the ‘Re-user’ or its ‘Re-use’.

‘PERSONAL DATA

The ‘Information’ made available may contain ‘Personal data’ that may be subject to ‘Re-use’. If this is the case, the ‘Licensor’ shall inform the ‘Re-User’ of their presence.

The ‘Information’ may be freely re-used, within the framework of the rights granted by this licence, provided that the legal framework relating to the protection of personal data is respected.

‘INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The ‘Re-user’ is guaranteed that any ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ held by third parties or by the ‘Licensor’ on the ‘Information’ do not prevent the rights granted by this licence.

Where the ‘Licensor’ holds transferable ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ over the ‘Information’, it transfers them to the ‘Re-user’ on a non-exclusive basis, free of charge, for the whole world, for the entire duration of the ‘Intellectual Property Rights’, and the ‘Re-user’ may make any use of the ‘Information’ in accordance with the freedoms and conditions defined by this licence.

LIABILITY

The ‘Information’ is made available as produced or received by the ‘Licensor’, without any express or implied warranty other than those set out in this licence. The ‘Licensor’ does not guarantee the absence of defects or errors that may be contained in the ‘Information’, or the continuous supply of the ‘Information’. The ‘Licensor’ cannot be held liable for any loss, prejudice or damage of any kind caused to third parties as a result of the ‘Re-use’.

The ‘Re-user’ is solely responsible for the ‘Re-use’ of the ‘Information’.

The ‘Reuse’ must not mislead third parties as to the content of the ‘Information’, its source and its date of update.

APPLICABLE LAW

This licence is governed by French law.

COMPATIBILITY OF THIS LICENCE

The present licence has been designed to be compatible with any free licence which requires at least the mention of paternity and in particular with the previous version of the present licence as well as with the licences ‘ Open Government Licence’ (OGL) of the United Kingdom, ‘ Creative Commons Attribution “ (CC-BY) of Creative Commons and ” Open Data Commons Attribution ’ (ODC-BY) of the Open Knowledge Foundation.
