Cabaret Lagarce (Juste la fin...)

Add to my favorites

Somewhere in the provinces, in a theater in Lyon, or in a hotel room in Verdun, a man (He, the director), finds a woman (She, the actress). A long time ago, here, with their friend (Le Poète mort trop tôt), they were making theater. Today, they remember and invite the audience to travel with them, joyfully, in a whirlwind of stories, all written by him.

And because Jean-Luc Lagarce is, more than anyone else, the author of a "work" in which all the characters speak the same language, we're betting that these story fragments will resonate with each other, shedding light on the major themes dear to this author: departure, waiting, return, the theater of life and the life of the theater...It was unsettling to rediscover, for example, that the Penelope of his early days was already saying, in Elles disent l'odyssée :
"And I'll ask, in a breath that I would have liked to be less dramatic, if everything doesn't always end like this, with a departure and with a wait. "
