Marianne and Johan have been married for ten years. By interviewing them, a journalist seeks to unlock the secret of their radiant happiness. The couple's answers seem to indicate that a dull dissatisfaction is nevertheless undermining them. In the evening, the couple witness a violent argument between friends Peter and Katarina.
