À notre place
In Our Place is the story of 3 friends, Astrid (60), Sara (50) and Eva (40), and the story of 3 men who cross their lives - "the son", "the brother" and "the father".
With humor and acuity, Norwegian playwright Arne Lygre weaves the dialogue between these 3 women, unraveling the threads of their friendship. They meet first in Astrid's house and then, 6 months later, in the basement of the same house, as Astrid has decided to make way for her son in search of a fresh start.
How to find one's right place and the right balance between caring for others and necessary independence? The play explores the question by examining their family situations, marked by ambivalent relationships to 3 men: a son, a brother and a father, who appear on stage "played" by the friends themselves.
