Les Enivrés
It's a world-night, a sleepless, tumbled night. Fourteen disoriented characters cross paths in vegetarian restaurants, abandoned party halls, deserted nightclubs... They had entered ahead of their social identities, certainties and the assignments that go with them (festival director, banker, prostitute, student...). But then came the intoxication. And consciousness, loosened by the night, the drugs, the discord or the party, takes new roads towards love, death, vegetarianism, the meaning of life, truth, God... The swell of the night distorts the conversations and gradually transfigures them in a great ball of truths. Each sequence gives rise to an intrigue and a meditation. In the manner of Japanese tanka - the ancestor of haiku - the end of a scene acts as a resolution.
