"My heart is clenching, the air is unbreathable and my mind is overwhelmed. The incessant torment gripping my being is becoming unbearable, I need to get out, to free myself. I wander the cold streets, trying to distract my mind. In the distance, I sense a commotion, chanting calls out to me and I see a crowd amassed. I approach, feel the music flow through me, invading me from head to toe. My heartbeat synchronizes with the hypnotic rhythms of the music, plunging me unawares into a frenzied trance. My body, motionless for too long, is torn by a deep, throbbing pain. Imprisoned in this infernal celebration, I have no other way out than to dance."

A choreographic fever spreads, immobility and isolation take hold of bodies, how do we get back into motion? Le Grand Bal embodies the singular artistic vision of choreographers Souhail Marchiche and Mehdi Meghari. This dance drama is once again the fruit of a creative complicity between the choreographers and eight intense, radiant dancers. It's a reflection on the emancipation of the body, a physical reaction to the consequences of confinement and the many crises of modern life. Dance and music combine, and the choreography invites a revolt of bodies that, to free themselves, have no other way out than to dance.
