As part of their training, students in the Directing, Writing, and Dramaturgy program at the École du Nord are presenting their own original performances this season in the form of rough drafts. The Théâtre du Nord invites you to discover the first performances by the artists who will shape the theater of tomorrow.

In a town in the south of France, Zinée returns to a supermarket parking lot where something happened that continues to haunt her. Between the laundromat and the seedy strip club, Yuna and Leyla, two cashiers, seem frozen in place. Time has stood still. As Zinée sets her feet on the scorching asphalt, she breaks the stillness: bodies begin to move again, machines overflow, and the Furies dance, spreading a murmur of vengeance.

Figures from ancient mythology—avenging goddesses charged with punishing crimes—the Furies emerge here in a contemporary world. Ella Amstad Ngoko invents a new mythology in a world where tragic brutality no longer comes from the gods but from social structures. Myth thus becomes a tool for reflecting on our capacity to act today.
