Las Reglas del buen vivir en la sociedad moderna

Add to my favorites

Les règles du bien vivre dans la société moderne is a seemingly innocuous monologue in which Baroness Blanche Staffe's rules are handed down, which are standards of urban conduct, of proper etiquette for the various rituals that mark the beginning and end of that brief period we call human life. By indicating how to choose a child's name, its godparents, banquets, the initial marriage or successive marriages, death itself, Lagarce's corrosive humor succeeds in creating a more or less hilarious sense of anguish and emptiness.
