ZOLA... PAS COMME ÉMILE !!!
Zola... Not like Émile!!! this is the true story of a 13-year-old boy who, to become officially French, has to pass a naturalization interview. And then, surprise: he's asked to change his first name. Zola's too weird. Not French enough. This is the moment Forbon N'Zakimuena recounts on stage, with his words, flow, music, anger and humor.
In a minimalist set, he takes the audience with him, between storytelling, rap, sound archives and beatmaking. He talks about identity, paper, family, what it's like to be "in-between", searching for oneself, and just wanting to exist without having to justify oneself.
Based on his own experience and the testimonies of young people gathered from all over France, Forbon signs an intimate, rhythmic, frontal show. A direct address to teenagers and all those who wonder: who am I, and for whom should I be?
