Les contes d'Ismaël et Forbon

With Ismaël Allem and Forbon N’Zakimuena, stories take on a whole new life. These two multi-talented artists dive into children’s books, put a fresh spin on fairy tales, and rap their way through an afternoon of reading, full of humor and energy.

Together, children and parents come together to ask lots of questions, seek some answers, raise awareness against racism, and above all, tell stories.

Following last season’s success, Ismaël and Forbon’s decolonial talesare returning to the Théâtre du Nord one Saturday a month! Children ages 5 and up settle into the lobby to celebrate imaginations that are all too rarely heard and to explore, between the pages, how to convey identities embraced with tenderness in a world that struggles to listen to them.
