Silence, ça tourne

Add to my favorites

Based on the true story of Eva Ståhl, a Swedish nurse and survivor of the massacre at the Palestinian camp of Tel al-Zaatar in 1976, Silence, ça tourne recounts the siege of the camp and traces its tragic circumstances.
Chrystèle Khodr, actress, author and director, lives in Beirut, where she regularly collaborates with Nadim Deaibes. Their work attempts to reconstitute a collective memory from personal stories and archive fragments. Here, they revisit a particular moment in the history of the Palestinian people during Lebanon's civil war. Alone on stage, Chrystèle Khodr deploys the voices that bear witness to a history that never ceases to be perpetuated, and whose echoes still reverberate today.
