Everyone knows Romeo and Juliet as the great love story between two people each from an enemy family, a family hatred that will come to the lovers' end in terrible violence. It's a passionate play about two people who confuse love and desire, love and passion, and warns us not to entrust love with what it cannot bear. But it's also a play about the magnificent impatience of youth, and its capacity to believe in its wildest dreams and utopias. To explore this Shakespearean masterpiece of all-consuming passions, Guillaume Séverac-Schmitz has chosen to bring together a predominantly female cast in a multidisciplinary show that will blend theater, video, live music and dance.
