Makbeth is the story of a tyrant, a spiral of violence that leads to madness. As war rages across an undefined moor, General Makbeth learns that the crown could soon be his. Supported by his wife and driven by ambition, he assassinates King Duncan. Once on the throne, he'll never stop trying to increase his power and eliminate his potential enemies one by one.

To embody this bloody drama, Louis Arene and his Munstrum acolytes, notorious craftsmen of masked play, pull out all the strings of their dreamlike theater. With corrosive humor, they manage to turn Shakespeare's work into a magnificent demonstration of the saving power of art.
