Pourama pourama

"Pourama Pourama is the culmination of a long-term project carried out over five years. Initially, there was a one-hour performance, Touch me, in which I went back over my early childhood spent at my father's side in 1980s Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. At the end of the public presentations, I had a taste of unfinished business. A large part of the story was missing: my mother's half. So I decided to write Taste me, in which I recount my adolescence spent alone with my mother, our exile from Iran and my first steps in learning French. But the puzzle was still incomplete. A child in the first text, a teenager in the second, my entry into adulthood was missing. So I wrote Trade me: a final story that brings this quest for an identity to a close and affirms the emergence of an "I" emancipated from the two parental figures.
