A grand theatrical fresco inspired by the texts of Euripides, Aeschylus, Sophocles and Seneca, Family Portrait playfully revisits the epic, tragi-comic story of the Atrides. A story where, in the eternal confrontation of men and gods, the fantastic and the political, the intimate and the universal, always merge. Sacrifice, infanticide, parricide, rape, incest, cannibalism: no holds barred in this family whose dirty laundry is washed with "an eye for an eye, blood for blood". Inexhaustible and truly delirious material, giving Jean-François Sivadier the opportunity to create a generous, demanding and popular theater, with a text tailor-made for fourteen young performers from the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris.
