Notre histoire (se répète)

Our history (repeats itself) tells the story of Jana and Stéphane's attempt - a German woman and a Sephardic Jew - to re-enact the show Our history, created in 2020. A show that spoke of their encounter in love and the pitfalls of their life as a mixed couple, traversed by the fracas of the 20th century and in particular those of the Holocaust. Today, geopolitical events, the rise of anti-Semitism and post-truth have swept away their bearings.

This play is a plunge into the vertigo of our collective memories and our attempts at reparation. It's a love farce about how current events impact a couple's intimacy and change our relationship with history.
