L'Interview

A true philanthropist, playwright and director Pascal Rambert loves the time spent meeting and listening, which allows him to plumb the soul of beings. Here, he has created a play tailor-made for the actress and co-founder of Théâtre Joliette, Pierrette Monticelli.

L'Interview is a reunion between two women of different ages, the younger interviewing the older.
"I tried to give form to this invisible thing, these moments when strength abandons us, when anxiety burns everything and we hear within ourselves why go on?". With her direct, sensitive writing, the author traces these lives, far from appearances, in their questioning, their losses, their agitations. The actresses, too, have struggled against these moments of existential vertigo. They were able to face up to it, to draw from their innermost depths the strength to cope with this inertia. In this intimate face-to-face encounter, they tell their stories, bear witness, reassure each other so that the energy of renewal finally emerges.
