LES HISTRIONIQUES
There are six of them on stage: authors, actresses, directors, activists, they form a contemporary chorus, fearless, funny and fierce: the #MeTooThéâtre collective.
On stage, they re-enact an investigation, between fiction and reality, conducted on their Messenger group, to accompany an actress who was a victim of rape. Voices, scenes and re-enactments emerge from this digital thread, all moments of tension where speech seeks, frees and wavers.
With Les Histrioniques, they create a space for free, festive theater. It's all about play, rhythm, struggle and raging joy. The grotesque becomes a weapon, costume a manifesto. We laugh. We shout. We think.
Born in 2021 in the wake of the #MeToo movement, the #MeTooThéâtre collective brings together artists mobilized against sexist and sexual violence in the performing arts. A theater of combat, sorority and deflagration. An irreverent party that dismantles systems, breaks down masks... and monsters.
