Les garçons et Guillaume, à table!

Add to my favorites

Les garçons et Guillaume, à table! is the story of a young boy growing up in a bourgeois family, where the gaze of his mother and others locks him into an identity he didn't choose. Through anecdotes, childhood memories, and family situations often tinged with humor and pain, Guillaume explores the construction of his identity, marked by unspoken facts and persistent illusions that influence his vision of himself.

A one-man show performed by Sebastian TRENTE, an actor whose career was interrupted by the onset of severe visual impairment due to an orphan genetic disease.
This show marks his comeback, not in spite of his disability, but with it, as an assumed and transcended presence.

"I didn't want to highlight the actor's visual impairment. It was neither the subject nor the challenge of the production. But knowing that he is visually impaired allows us to better understand the nature of his gaze, to perceive differently the way in which he resonates with the text, with the space, with the audience. It's a singular gaze, charged with humanity, sensitivity, listening, that never seeks to impose itself, but exists fully.
