Le regole del saper vivere nella societa'moderna

Add to my favorites

Being born is not complicated, and dying is also very easy. So living is not necessarily impossible. You just have to follow the rules and know that there's a solution to every situation. Such is the almost absurd explanation of the protagonist, the Lady, who, with extremely entertaining savoir-vivre, demolishes the hypocrisies of life in society and shows the double bottom of the senseless ceremonies that guide us in their repetitive circularity. With this jewel, Jean-Luc Lagarce signs an Enlightenment treatise (how can we not think of the caustic humor of the Marquise de Merteuil in Les Liaisons dangereuses) on the rites and myths of society. He died prematurely in 1995, and is one of the most widely represented contemporary French playwrights, translated in many countries.
