Le Jour de l'ours
For the past two years, Simon Grangeat and I have been engaged in a process of crea6on and companionship, nourished by encounters, interviews, sociological and theoretical inputs.
First, we questioned the societal construc6on of virility, the "factory of the masculine", in a frontier territory marked by easy and commonplace access to prostitution.
Then we took a detour to Vallespir, the mountains before Spain, where the Fêtes de l'Ours have survived since the Middle Ages. Invoking a pagan and animist imagination, they have deeply impregnated the fic6on, as much as the landscapes, the forests, and the encounters we've made there.
Le Jour de l'Ours is a huis clos on the edge of a wood where four flayed characters cross paths, coming to purge their desires and heal their ills in this disturbing forest where the fantastic surfaces.I'm looking for a committed, epic, physical theater for this team of actors who will evolve in a sober, rough set
