Le Bain

We took hold of this autobiographical story as one takes hold of a testimony, to try to say, to understand something that lies beyond language: this vertigo, this stripping away of being in the face of the irremediable, and at the same time, to speak of this ritual represented by the bath: the accompaniment in this passage to the other side of the mirror. We wanted to question this link between the living and the dead, through a device in which text, video images, soundscapes, objects and the body enter into close resonance, to create "Correspondances", in which the spectator navigates between present and past, as well as between dream and reality. On stage, a woman searches. And it resurfaces in its entirety, with its present intact. The last moments of this love, the loved one gone. This love, softly brought to life by the clear voice of this woman, very close to us.
