L'Apprentissage

Add to my favorites

In his previous work, Fabrizio Pazzaglia has been interested in the question of memory and testimony, three rd in "Lisbon, invisible city" he recounted experiences in different parts of the city.

Here, with the text L'apprentissage, by Jean-Luc Lagarce, it's the question of "the one who narrates" that is at stake, Fabrizio Pazzaglia choosing to make him a passeur. He then shifts the original situation of the text; a man on a hospital bed becomes a man absorbed in a physical activity, in this case gymnastic rings. For the choreographer, it's a question of staging a real apprenticeship on stage, more than in the story told it's through the very writing of Lagarce's text, these repetitions of phrase, that Fabrizio Pazzaglia makes L'Apprentissage.
