J'étais dans ma maison et j'attendais que la pluie vienne

This is a family tragedy that begins with very good news. The eldest daughter tells us that her younger brother has returned. He's back, and they've been waiting for him without waiting for him. This return, however, lacks the virtue and freshness of a fine rainfall on a late summer's evening. Too silent an arrival, it provokes an emotional discharge and awakens frustrations that have always been kept hidden. A living room frozen in the '70s, five women frozen in expectation that shatters in words and music alike. A family story, almost our own. Be that as it may, if our time hasn't come, we outlive those who die. Life wins!
