Il pourra toujours dire que c'est pour l'amour du prophète

A veritable theatrical oratorio, Il pourra toujours dire que c'est pour l'amour du prophète (He can always say it's for the love of the prophet) brings together the words of exiles, young actors and electro-acoustic composition. Following numerous interviews with people fleeing wars or intolerance in their countries for reasons of identity or politics, Franco-Iranian Gurshad Shaheman and sound designer Lucien Gaudion created a singular stage work. Some fifteen actors share a voice that circulates throughout the room, rejecting any realistic staging. The sharing of stories and fragments of life transforms the space into a sonic labyrinth. The spectator witnesses the expression of presence, where every gesture, however minute, is essential, and welcomes these existences, these crossings caught between violence and love, tortured bodies and loved bodies. With this new show, Gurshad Shaheman affirms an art of perception and testimony where theater passes through the senses.
