Fille

Add to my favorites

Imagine a fable-like criminal case set in verdant countryside. A terrifying murder, writing on the bone and two companies to plead the case. Between striking realism, music and video, Fille asks us: who are we to judge?

"Can you lead an audience to understand and forgive such and such an act?". Invited a few years ago to take up this theatrical challenge, English playwright Matt Harley published a strange social fable in response, exploring notions of individual and collective responsibility based on a drama. Cut off from the world for as long as she can remember, Fille lives with Father... Since she left childhood, he has left home, leaving her to face the consequences of the destitution in which she grew up. One day, a woman in distress wanders into this nowhere... A tale as modern as it is immemorial.
