Carmen.

A speaker pretending to talk about the play whose synopsis you're currently reading, ends up narrating and performing Georges Bizet's opera Carmen, from the libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy.

In the same way that in Phèdre! Romain Daroles narrates Racine's famous play alone on stage, and in Giselle... Samantha Van Wissen narrates the eponymous ballet, Rosemary Standley - accompanied on stage by 5 musicians - takes sole charge of the evocation of this play which has in common with the other two, besides bearing a female first name and seeing its heroine die on stage, to be considered one of the masterpieces of its genre.

This is the third part of the trilogy that François Gremaud intends to devote to three great tragic female figures of the classical performing arts: Phèdre (theater), Giselle (ballet) and Carmen (opera).
