On stage, nine young men and women, aged between 17 and 24, wear headphones and dance to their own music. Occasionally, one of them removes his/her headphones, steps out of his/her bubble and revisits snippets of his/her own life for him/herself and out loud. It soon becomes clear what these young people have in common: they have all experienced a break-up with their families. Violence, abandonment or disaffection are just some of the reasons why a young person may or may not want to leave home. Everyone is encouraged to put their experiences into perspective, through writing and drama. Little by little, words are set free, and each person's music - a place of refuge in daily life and a means of escape - is shared with others. Individual stories follow one another, interweaving and resonating together to paint, in the end, an allegorical portrait of a certain youth.
