Haunted houses don't have to be in Scotland, topped with creaky weather vanes waved by a wild wind, on the edge of an all-black loch filled with strange, unfamiliar monsters! They're everywhere, maybe right next door.

Nadir is going on a tour of his haunted house. To escape the chaos of his intimate life, he moves closer to his family to find some semblance of calm. In their eyes, he's the picture of success, but his return is not without consequences. Through the eyes of a class defector, he discovers that his neighborhood is even poorer than before. Some residents have become radicalized, and the social scene has changed. With his family left to fend for themselves and his father on the verge of death, Nadir finds himself engulfed in an entirely different universe. Vertiges is a dreamlike odyssey into the reality of these families orphaned by their own history.
