A Quebecer and a Frenchman of Iranian origin take part in a series of cross-portraits. Dany Boudreault was born in rural Quebec, Gurshad Shaheman grew up in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Searchers of the intimate, they explore each other's territory, delicately exhuming their past from personal archives. Using headphones, spectators select which of these stories they wish to follow, and can switch from one to the other at any time. This device is intended to reflect our information-saturated world: each person chooses their sources according to their own opinions, to build their own version of the show. But here, the fragments fit together to form landscapes at the crossroads of three continents, reviving individual and collective memories. Across the oceans, intimate and political narratives intertwine, seeking to find an echo in each and every one of us. A teeming theater of the senses.
