Sur les rails

Add to my favorites

Sur les rails plunges into the life and daydreams of L'Homme-Bus, fascinated by the trolleys whose sounds he faithfully reproduces, along the rail networks he invents. In this diary-poem, each day becomes an inner odyssey, an imaginary territory where language becomes experience.

This tribute to the singularity and creative power of the marginalized explores the power of the imaginary as a refuge and a means of emancipation, but also the way in which each and every one, in the face of adversity, can transform their daily lives, those of others, and reinvent their place in the world.

Created by author and director Valérian Guillaume for actor Simon Jacquard, the winning duo of the 6ᵉ edition of La Colline's artist residency grant, this mobile form takes up residence in non-theatrical venues - libraries, art centers, third places, care facilities, social centers - as so many possible stops to connect individuals, so many sensitive rails to travel together.
