In a world on fire

One scorching summer, in the fire-ringed San Francisco Bay. Ada, an activist journalist, finds Georges, her father, a former engineer stranded in his villa beside an empty swimming pool. They haven't seen each other since the death of Lynn, her mother, 30 years ago. In the cracks of everything they haven't said to each other, the buried dreams of their youth, the utopias of the 70s, all the other possible worlds... and the cracks of our present world of imminent catastrophes, generalized surveillance, fatalism... Father and daughter settle their accounts, which are those of two generations situated at one end of the digital revolution and the other at the other. Together, amidst burning trees, they attempt to reconnect... Céline Ohrel digs deep into her fictional theater, which comes to question, in particular, our relationship to technology and progress in a poetic and sensitive way.
