El funeral de Mishima o el placer de morir

Hagakure, "in the shadow of shadows", is the samurai spiritual code that profoundly inspired Yukio Mishima. His thought unites eroticism, beauty and death in an inseparable trinity. For him, dying every day in thought freed him from the fear of death. His novel The Golden Pavilion revealed to the author that beauty could be an enemy capable of destroying everything with its intensity.
Angélica Liddell's new show will attempt to be an eulogy of suicide understood as an act of foresight, born of an extreme desire to live and a sensitivity beyond all judgment. Seppuku thus becomes a poem, a transfer of the desire to die from the mind to the body, and proof that it is only through sex and death that the body transcends itself and that life takes on meaning when it is extinguished.
