Romances inciertos, un autre Orlando

"I'm not the one you see living
I'm not anymore no, no, no."
Both concert and recital, Romances inciertos, un autre Orlando is articulated in three acts, like a souvenir opera-ballet. The Doncella Guerrera, a medieval figure who follows in the footsteps of a young girl who goes off to war in the guise of a man, Federico García Lorca's San Miguel, a voluptuous archangel and object of devotion, and Tarara, a mystical, seductive Andalusian gypsy who carries the secret of her androgyny. In a delicate Baroque setting, under the watchful eye of François Chaignaud and Nino Laisné, these three uncertain identities are reflected in a musical and choreographic fusion. Through the test of song and dance, this other Orlando, carried by four musicians (bandoneon, theorbo/baroque guitar, violas da gamba, percussion), embarks on a form of epic whose ceaseless metamorphoses never quench the quest for an ideal.
