RI TE

RI TE is the story of an encounter as improbable as it is jubilant: that of Marlene Monteiro Freitas, a partner artist at the Festival d'Avignon 2025, and Israel Galván, who like to present themselves as dissimilar twins. Each brings what he or she is, without forcing an illusory common ground, without trying to ignore their irreducible differences. These two bodies, which tame each other as much as they defy each other, sketch out before our eyes a dialogue of wild freedom. Between the two choreographers and dancers|, it's a question of flamenco: a broken flamenco, in pieces, where one shouts olé very loudly and hits the floor with rubber boots, but a flamenco that one dances until one loses oneself.
