R. OSA

In a fizzy blue swimsuit, Claudia A. Marsicano takes center stage. Non-standard body, vocal body, supple body, the actress and performer inhabits the stage as rarely as she addresses the audience directly. Her presence gradually breaks down all a priori, revealing other images associated with virtuosity. For over twenty years, Italian choreographer Silvia Gribaudi has been playing with stereotypes and campaigning for the emergence of other representations of the body. With the subtitle "ten exercises for a new virtuosity", R. OSA takes on the appearance of a manifesto that sharpens our gaze, seeking to free us from the shackles of norms. With its marked irony, the solo invites us to question the expectations of a show and the codes of representation. Wishing to break down the hierarchy between stage and audience, R. OSA dares to involve the audience. And so, with joyful, liberating energy, Claudia A. Marsicano becomes a transmitting body as she proposes the famous ten exercises to the audience.
