À poils
Written and directed by Alice Laloy, À poils turns the figures of the ogre and the monster, not as intimidating as they seem... A show accessible from age three that pokes fun at conventions and jubilantly plays with the possibilities of each situation.
In the beginning, there's nothing: the stage is "bare" and doesn't even have bleachers or cushions for the children to sit on. Then a "roadie" arrives, looking like a rocker, especially with his hair. This concert technician starts moving flight cases (crates holding concert equipment), and is soon joined by two other equally hairy and unkempt acolytes. While the crates make themselves at home, the trio enlist the audience's help to build the space - a sort of mini-tent - that will host the concert, for a finale that's as joyful as it is ... hairy.
By thwarting the expectations of what a show would be, especially one for young audiences, À poils puts transformation at the heart of its purpose: transformation of space, of people, of situations. And invites adults and children alike to get involved in this playful and generous form.
