There are two of them. An Amazon who is bored and wants to “play at love.” Abelard, who already has a lover and resists. With first names drawn from famous myths, the duo embarks on a strange confrontation—playful yet profound—that subverts expectations and deconstructs conventions. Love is something you can learn! To question models and norms, the director entrusts the performance to six actors of different cultures and ages. Following a random draw, the roles and scenes are assigned at random, in a playful spontaneity that delights in maintaining a sense of uncertainty, between necessity and chance. “Language is a skin: I rub my language against the other’s.” in the words of Roland Barthes in A Lover’s Discourse: Fragments.
