ONGOING
A vortex of gestures, volumes and forces in tension. In Ongoing, Ola Maciejewska orchestrates an ode to abstraction, nature and movement.
After exploring Loïe Fuller's serpentine dances as a matrix of emancipation and hybridization, Ola Maciejewska invites us to take a closer look at the transformative processes at work in nature: geological formations, currents, shell spirals, vortices, planetary movements and more. These ever-changing natural structures, sometimes geometric, sometimes chaotic, become the basis of a choreographic language inspired by the state of "continuity". On stage, five performers sculpt a flow of rhythms, fleeting metamorphoses, appearances and disappearances. Abstraction here becomes a generative force, a driving force for invention, revealing a sensitive organization shot through with proliferation, tension and unpredictable shifts. Between matter, light and movement, an elusive dance takes shape, mirroring the dynamics that shape the living world.
