Musée Duras
With sixteen performers from the graduating class of the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, Julien Gosselin retraced the protean work of novelist, playwright and filmmaker Marguerite Duras. This intense reading experience gave rise to eleven distinct scenic proposals, for eleven texts brought together in an imaginary museum, in the form of an evolving set. In this fictitious enclosure, there is no question of attending a nostalgic retrospective, or a tribute that would aim to sanctuarize literature, carefully preserving it behind glass. above all, Musée Duras proposes a corps à corps with a piece of writing. "Faute d'autres choses." Every day, for ten hours, the white picture rails of theMusée Duras become the projection space for a theater haunted by absence, desire and death. Rhythmed by the counting down of a clock, Musée Duras is an experience to be enjoyed in its integral form, throughout the day, or in two-hour fragments.
