Les Règles du savoir-vivre dans la société moderne

Add to my favorites

A character called: "The Lady" explains to an audience, the public? What are the stages of life, from birth to death, and by what social rules are they governed? As so often with Jean-Luc Lagarce, it's all about the family, but in a very broad sense this time.

"At dinner - which is essential - the engaged couple are placed next to each other, in the middle of the table plan. They're treated like the heroes of the day, because they are.
They're facing the girl's father and mother, the fiancé's father is next to the lady of the house, the girl's mother, if we're following along, her mother next to the master of the house, the fiancée's father, I don't insist, it's clear."
