Le mariage de Figaro

Add to my favorites

It's one of the best-known and most performed plays in Beaumarchais' repertoire.

On his wedding day with Suzanne, Figaro discovers that his master, Count Almaviva, is trying to seduce his fiancée. With the Countess's help, Figaro and Susanna foil his schemes with tricks, disguises and misunderstandings.

Underneath the lively, brilliant comedy is a critique of privilege and power relations, heralding the upheavals of the French Revolution.

Micha Lescot and Alix Poisson will play the Almaviva couple. Noémie Lvovsky will be Marcelline. As for Suzanne, Alain Françon will entrust the role to a young revelation, Ana Blagojevic.
