La renarde
We've all seen those images of foxes venturing to the outskirts of our cities and experimenting with a new life in a new space. Sacha Todorov invites us to put ourselves in the shoes of one of these animals by following in the footsteps of a fox.
Habituated in our fictions, by turns companion of Robin Hood, the Raven or the Little Prince, hero of operas or comics, from Disney to manga, the fox even has its "novel"! As for the fox, she'll now have her own play.
Like her companion, the fox's ambivalent character means she can be seen as both harmful and sympathetic, kind yet cunning and potentially dangerous. She is therefore quite close to us and could, why not, become our double.
By immersing himself in her skin and observing her ability to adapt to an a priori hostile urban environment, Sacha Todorov humorously questions the sharing of space and the definition of predator. Under this "animal incarnation", the show offers a hollow portrait of our world. Costumes, sets and props are within view of the audience and the actors' hands. In the middle of this space, the fox, a candidate for adaptation, hands us a survival manual.
