La Edad de Oro

Israel Galván's dance is a sacred fire of incandescent beauty and extraordinary modernity. It oscillates between excess and withdrawal, virtuosity and sobriety, feminine and masculine. The man dubbed "the Nijinsky of flamenco" has reinvented his art and opened it up to all influences, turning his body into a percussion instrument and imbuing his gestures with primitive forces. He made his name in France in 2005 with La Edad de Oro, a solo in which he asserted his unique style. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Israel Galván revisits this iconic work, which has become a classic in his repertoire, and renews the program, with, at his side, the voice of María Marín and Rafael Rodríguez on guitar.
