Around a very simple scenographic device, a bed that can in turn become a ship, a hut, a flying carpet, an eight-year-old girl recounts the worlds she creates at night with her head to escape the violence of her environment.

"She doesn't sleep. She can't. There's too much to invent at night. Too much to discover. Especially when you're lucky enough to live in a Swiss-knife bed, to know the passage of sunken worlds, to be a cloud's secret sister. Especially when life behind the door is too hard to dream."

I hope this play is a tribute to the imaginary, to little girls who overflow, to the night and its phantasmagorical power. A rebellious, adventurous tale, like a sample of the thousand lives that are reinvented in the secrecy of children's bedrooms that suffering has led to produce beauty.
