Immaqaa, ici peu-être

How do you depict the Far North? Its silences and absences, its cold, its excesses of snow and ice? Are these extreme landscapes nonetheless nourished by stories, practices and rituals? These questions have given Mathurin Bolze, director and circus artist, and the artists and creators of this epic, all passionate about the peoples and landscapes of this region, tremendous material to dream about. After an immersion in Greenland, during which they collected sounds, sensations, gestures and images, they explore the symbolic power of the pack ice in an era of climate disruption.

On stage, circus performers embark on a danced and poetic reverie every bit as spectacular as the landscapes summoned. Characters take shape, leaving ephemeral traces behind them. Gestures, atmospheres, sensations, ghostly presences... The eight performers awaken our imaginations to reveal this end of the world, where human presence has been so rare until now. A gripping, resolutely contemporary piece that questions our future
