Hanane and Karim wait impatiently at home for their daughter Lila. Lila is 16 and a talented soccer player. Any minute now, she'll be returning from a training camp with the French national team, who are considering recruiting her. But while she's away, her parents receive a call from the coach of the Moroccan national team, who also offers her a place in his ranks. Which team will Lila choose? The French team, where she was born and raised? Or the Moroccan team, where her parents come from?

Fidélité(s) ou la Panenka d'Hakimi is inspired by the figure of Spanish-Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi, who, during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, chose the Moroccan national team over the Spanish and eliminated the latter with a gesture that has become mythical: a Panenka, a simple action, the ultimate humiliation.

The dilemma facing Lila triggers stories and debates within her family, where individual trajectories intertwine with the history of post-colonial immigration in France, where each and every one finds their identity shaken, where women's soccer becomes the meeting point between the hopes, sometimes vibrant, sometimes dashed, of three generations.
