Épopées

Following Désobéir and La Tendresse, Julie Berès continues, with *ÉPOPÉES*, her exploration of young people’s capacity for reinvention, joy, and resistance.

She set out to meet young artists from Afghanistan, Palestine, Russia, Israel, and Iran who chose civil disobedience and fled their countries to seek asylum in France. The show explores their reclaiming of fundamental freedoms—singing, dancing, reading, writing, loving—and the paradoxes of exile. On stage, Julie Berès continues her quest for a powerfully performative form of theater where the personal and humor intertwine with the deeply political, creating a source of hope.
